Sara leads client relationships in the ZS Discovery space and partners with clients to identify and implement areas of opportunity for innovating drug discovery research and derive insights from biomedical big data. Sara co-led the development of the offering portfolio in the discovery space as well as the integration of offerings into ZS following the acquisition of Intomics.

Sara’s main expertise is applying bioinformatics and systems biology to solve complex research challenges in the space of biomedical discovery science, such as drug target and biomarker discovery, repositioning and disease mechanism. Sara has broad experience with various data domains, data integration and analytics approaches in the early pharma R&D space across several therapeutic areas, and deep knowledge within network biology. Sara has leveraged this expertise in the development of a research platform to accelerate and deepen biomedical insights across ZS clients and projects.

Before joining ZS, Sara led product commercialization and client relationships as well as business development and project delivery management at Intomics.

Sara holds a Master of Science in systems biology and bioinformatics from the Technical University of Denmark and a Bachelor of Science in biotechnology from the Copenhagen Business School, where she also studied biobusiness and innovation.
